The most common thing is that the function it controls will get sluggish, or worse, it'll start to drift. Maybe your boom sags a bit when you're trying to hold it steady, or the feed pressure isn't consistent, causing the drill to jump or bog down. Sometimes you'll even hear a bit of a groan or a whine from the hidroliks as the fluid tries to get past worn spools or keçes inside the block. It’s a good indicator that the internal clearances are shot, or a keçe has failed, letting pressure bleed off where it shouldn't.

If you're replacing one of these, make sure you've got the system properly bled afterwards; air in the lines will just cause more headaches. Also, don't forget to check the pilot lines that feed into it. Sometimes the main block itself isn't the primary issue, but rather a weak or inconsistent pilot signal causing it to act up. Always double-check your connections and torque settings, obviously, and make sure you're using clean hidrolik sıvı. A bit of grit can wreck a new BLOCK, VALF in no time.
