HYDRAULIC HO

HYDRAULIC HO 2670 1586 54 Hydraulic hoses are essential conduits in any underground drilling rig, responsible for carrying high-pressure hydraulic fluid to power various systems. A HORTUM like this one connects pumps, valves, cylinders, and motors, enabling critical functions such as boom articulation, feed system movement, and the rotation or impact mechanism of the drifter. It acts as a flexible link, allowing components to move relative to each other while maintaining fluid flow.

The integrity of hydraulic hoses directly impacts both operational safety and drilling efficiency. A compromised HORTUM can lead to a sudden loss of hydraulic pressure, causing unexpected machine movements or a complete shutdown. If a HORTUM supplying the drifter's impact circuit develops a leak, for instance, the driller will notice a significant drop in penetration rate and impact energy, directly affecting productivity. Furthermore, a burst HORTUM can spray high-pressure fluid, posing a serious safety risk to personnel nearby.

Common signs of a failing hydraulic HORTUM include visible leaks, cracks or abrasions on the outer KAPAK, bulges, or stiffening of the HORTUM material. Operators might also observe slower machine functions or a need for higher engine RPM to achieve normal operation. Regularly inspecting all hydraulic lines for wear and damage is crucial. When a HORTUM shows signs of degradation, replacing it promptly prevents unexpected downtime and potential safety hazards. Ensure proper routing to avoid chafing against other components or sharp edges, which extends HORTUM life.
